Pie Beans are my re-usable solution to the problems I’ve found with standard pastry weights. These weights are meant to keep crusts flat during par and blind baking, and support the sides to prevent shrinking. There’s enough Pie Beans in each set to fill a standard or deep dish 9 inch / 23 centimeter pie pan (more than 650 beans). Made from silicone that can withstand up to 700°F, the set also comes with a mesh bag which holds the beans for easy washing (by hand or in the dishwasher). Available in white or black, Pie Beans look great on display in jar on your kitchen shelf, plus they’re easy to clean and use!

Pie Beans are made from pharmacy grade silicone. They are nontoxic, BPA, BPS, and phthalate free.

Each Set of Pie Beans:

Contains more than 650 beans (more than 3-5x more than a pack of typical pie weights).
Fills a 9 in / 23 cm pie pan—standard or deep dish.
Weighs down pastry crusts during Par or Blind Baking.
Helps prevent common crust issues such as shrinking or air bubbles.
Are made in either black or white silicone, and are heat resistant up to 700°F.
Comes with a mesh bag that holds the beans for easy cleaning—in the dishwasher, or by hand.
