Erin Jeanne McDowell
Hi, I'm Erin, and I work in food media: cooking, writing, and styling all things delicious. My work has appeared in cookbooks, newspapers, magazines, websites, and ad campaigns. I have a widespread culinary background with an emphasis in baking and pastry. I'm a two-time IACP food styling + media award nominee, and won for my nomination in 2016. I'm ringing in my tenth year working in both digital and print food media.
I serve as Recipe Editor for PureWow and Baking Consultant at Large for Food52. I released my first book, The Fearless Baker (Houghton Mifflin Harcourt) in October 2017, and it was named one of the Best Baking Books of the year by the New York Times.
I'm based in the New York metro area where I live with my partner, Derek. My pup, Brimley, serves as an excellent taste tester + vacuum for fallen bites. I am available for travel.
